About Our Fees

Depending on the type of service required, we are open and very competitive in our fees. More so, in accordance with the SRA transparency rules effective since 06 December 2018, Bold Legal Limited publish its price guide on Employment and Immigration law matters.

The purpose is to provide the public with opportunities to make informed decision in terms of choices on Solicitors’ Firm to instruct.

At Bold Legal Limited, we do require clients to read our terms and conditions of service/engagement, which are set out in the Client Care Letter sent to them. The letter also set out the agreed fee rates. Our clients are required to agree and sign the Agreement/Engagement letter before a formal engagement can commence.

We usually publish our hourly fee rates and set out clearly at what stage, when such is applicable.

The initial letter of engagement, which is commonly referred as Client Care Letter (CCL), will set out your instructions, your case worker(s), our fee, and complaint procedure details.

Generally, please note that we do not offer free consultation. We charge up to £110.00 for the initial one off consultation of up to forty five (45) minutes. After the consultation, there is no obligation to instruct our Firm. However, should you choose to instruct our Firm, then the following will apply, depending on the service that is required:

You can request for a free call-back or initial consultation, by completing and submitting our call back Form. We will contact you within an hour of receipt of your request, to discuss briefly on how we can assist you:

Employment related matters –

  • Initial deposit or payment of £500 (refundable only on a successful claim of award on damages/settlement with compensation above £50,000.00) plus,
  • Legal fee agreed on a “No Win No Fee” Damaged Base Agreement (DBA), at 35% of the overall award or settlement figure. (No win No fee means that we would charge a percentage of whatever award (following a successful trial), or agreed settlement that we could negotiate on your behalf).
  • To sign a Settlement Agreement with your Employer – Generally this is free to you provided your employer has agreed to pay for our service. Our standard fee is from £350.00 to £600.00 plus VAT, depending on the complexity of your case.
  • Drafting and review of letter to Employer – This varies on case by case basis. Our charge is from £120.00 to £350.00 plus VAT (depending on the complexity of the case).
  • Other options of payment is on hourly rate. This will be explained to you in our client care letter (introduction letter that will be sent to you following your instruction)
  • You may also have access to legal expenses Insurance. This will also be explained to you in our client care letter.

Immigration Matters – (Excluding Asylum cases)

  • Application bundle for entry clearance – £350.00
  • Lodging all appeals – £500 (VAT where applicable)
  • First Application for leave to Remain in all categories, including EEA Application for a Residence Card – £600 (Plus VAT where applicable – in other words, subject to applicant’s immigration status at the time of Application)
  • Renewal of Leave to Remain (all categories) – £450 plus VAT
  • Application for Indefinite Leave to Remain in all categories – £700 plus VAT
  • Application for permission to apply for Judicial Review at Upper Tribunal level – £1,500 (VAT is subject to client’s immigration status at the time of Application)
  • Application for Permanent Residence Card – £1,200 plus VAT
  • Application for bail before the First-tier Tribunal – £1,000 excluding VAT
  • Deportation case from £2,500 – £3,000
  • Nationality cases from £500 – £800 plus VAT

Please note that this price guide does not include Advocacy/Counsel fees, any other forms of Disbursements (where applicable), Home Office/application fees, Court fees and Immigration Health Surcharge, medical records/reports among others.
